Requirements on student Assignment on the basis of copies of the sample period calligraphy. Content History of writing continuum from the past to present days, its historical expression and further impact. Typography history (writing for print) is followed and historical steps and trends are practised. Scopes: historical overview of Latin writing, writing agents and tools, medieval scrivener work, writing: drawing, painting and writing, basic types of letters for handprint in 16-18 centuries, initials in 16-18 century prints, cast and cut letters.
