Year 2011 – 21st year of our business
what did it bring and how it was…
In the year 2011 grew the whole public spectrum (worldwide) sober by mandating
financial reductions, among others also by budget cuts in the transportation segment
and by generally restricting construction investments.
And what are the reactions from the designers? Panic and insecurity could describe the
general feelings and the end of golden times of often overpriced and poorly controlled
projects. I find it OK. . The society needs to change its relationship to the investment
process and the overall investment economy must come and be maintained.
I do not see any other way.
Our company, or better, its leadership, have accounted for this phenomenon in the
strategic planning and is adequately prepared for this crisis. Moreover, our company
finished the year 2011 without any larger turbulences.
When the crisis comes, it is time to invest.
We have invested – into technologies, new acquisitions, company development and
human resources.
We have changed our business strategy, strengthened marketing, business and PR.
We managed to reach our economical goals just as planned.
We have built a very strong and durable team of accomplished professionals, who
know what they want and what the company strategy is.
The year 2011 considerably moved the market, started new possibilities and new per‑
spectives, but at the same time hindered a good and manageable view of the future.
I want to believe, that the rules in the transportation design can be set. According
to these rules we can plan our long‑time strategy, invest in technologies and in
educated people. Regrettably, the trend of public tenders does not respect quality of
the design and the current way of preposterous minimal prices devastates the whole
education process, leads to lower quality projects, brings large problems during con‑
struction and in the end effect places a burden on the whole public budget.
I hope that everybody will realize all these problems and will be willing to invest in
a higher quality design process.
I take the year 2011 as a starting point for new conditions, that will, and I certainly
hope so, advocate our selected strategy. The same strategy we been promoting for
the whole company existence.
I think that the year 2012 will further deepen the existing problems, but at the same
time, I see a light at the end of a tunnel for planning and constructing transportation
infrastructure in our country.
We try to develop our activities abroad, especially in Eastern Europe and Russia, for
the case of larger crisis impacts on the Czech construction segment.
This year we have started in a DIFFERENT way and I believe that in a BETTER way.

The main reason for developing the web solution
is to offer our existing and new customers further
options for accessing the data in a simple and intuitive
environment. The new module Project Preparation
should be mentioned, while it covers the whole
process of project preparation in both time and financial
perspectives. Additionally, the system for approval of
additional works, reports and invoices was improved.
New product, that was made available on the market this
year, is the Managerial information portal (MIP). It introduces
completely new overview of data sources and display of
required information in the actual form. It is obvious, that
this system is designated for the leadership that needs the
actual and well‑arranged information for decision making
process. Not only the PC, but also more and more popular
tablets can be used for access of this system. Mobile phone
access is in development.
