Filter Tips
There are 2 Alpha filter tip ranges and both are certified to be
free of RNase, DNase, DNA, Pyrogens, ATP and trace metals.
1. ZAP® Premier: These tips provide ultimate protection of
your pipette from both aerosols and fluid contamination.
The pores in this filter are very small (~10µm) so that in
the event of over-pipetting, the filter blocks the
overdrawn fluid but does not absorb it so the sample can
be completely dispensed. Tips are autoclavable and
sterilised by gamma radiation.
2. Aerogard®: This comprehensive range has a wide choice
of tip formats to fit the majority of pipettes. It provides
excellent protection of your samples and instruments

Fastrak tips are compatible with a wide range
of single and multi-channel pipettes. The grid

Non-sterile/Sterile – Fastrak is available in non-sterile format and for the most popular
sizes, also as sterile product.

Ultrafine – Most of the Fastrak tips are ‘Ultrafine’ and feature a thin,flexible section at the
end which is non-bevelled. This facilitates the dispensing of every drop of sample from the tip.

Racks – It is quick and easy to refill your used Alpha tip racks. There is a choice of square or
round-holed racks for tips up to 250µl. Round-holes are particularly good for multichannel

The filter also works to protect your sample.
It blocks fluid passage so that in the event of
over-pipetting, your sample will not be
absorbed and can be completely dispensed
without any losses. Contamination of the
sample by the filter is avoided as it is made
from high purity polyethylene and inserted
robotically into the tip. Every batch of tips is
tested and certified to be free of RNase,
DNase, Human DNA. They are also certified
as non-pyrogenic including the filter.

Protect your Pipette
ZAP™ Premier filter tips feature a unique
10µm pore size filter. These pores are 100%
smaller than those in most other filter tips
and effectively trap aerosols containing DNA,
radionucleotides and other contaminants,
preventing them from entering the barrel of

Robotic Tips
Tips for automated workstations are subject to stricter
tolerances than standard pipette tips. Alpha robotic tips are
engineered to the exact specification of the instruments for
which they are designed. They are manufactured from medical
grade, virgin polypropylene and undergo rigorous QC testing
to assure you of the highest levels of purity and performance.
