Background
The twentieth anniversary of the fall of the Iron Curtain is approaching which brought about
the end of the Cold War in Europe. A first new generation has come of age in societies freed
from communist dictatorship that lasted over forty years. In the last two decades of
establishing democracy and market economies in Central and Eastern Europe, coming to
terms with the traumas of the past was not a principal issue in society. With growing
historical distance, however, the time is coming to face our past honestly, to assess the
nature of the crimes committed by communist regimes and to deal with the legacy of
totalitarianism. We need to reach a historically objective understanding of European history
of the last century.
Thanks to the accession of former communist countries to the European Union, this debate
is now possible on a common level. Indeed, in the past few years, European democratic
institutions - notably the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the European
Parliament - have started addressing the legacy of totalitarianism and communism in Europe
and stressing the need for further attention to the issue (Resolution of the PACE condemning
the crimes of totalitarian regimes, Resolution of the EP on the occasion of the 60th
anniversary of WWII, Resolution of the EP on the 50th anniversary of the Hungarian uprising
in 1956 etc.). This conference, held in the heart of Europe once shut away behind an iron
curtain by the communists, wants to help to carry the European historical and political
discussion a step further.
The conference
The two-day international conference “European Conscience and Communism“ is hosted by
the Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Human Rights and Petitions of the Senate,
Parliament of the Czech Republic. The first day of the conference is dedicated to the
witnesses of communist crimes and to the classification of communist crimes from today’s
perspective.
The second day deals with the need to establish a European scientific institution dedicated to
studying totalitarian regimes based on the examples of institutes already existing in the
former Eastern bloc – an Institute of European Conscience.
The conference follows freely upon the work of the EPP/ED fraction in the European
Parliament (the “Reunification of European History” project) and on the work of the
Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Outcome of the conference will be a document addressed to the Institutions of the European
Union and to the governments and Parliaments of EU member states, as well as the
establishment of a working group whose task it will be to prepare a concrete concept of the
Institute of European Memory.
Accompanying events to the conference include exhibitions on the topic of victims of
communism, film screenings, a concert dedicated to the victims of communism and Nazism.

Studoval právo, pedagogiku, politologii a germanistiku. V letech 1980 - 2001 vykonává vyšší
věřejně-správní funkce svobodného a hansovního města Hamburku. Ředitelem senátu při
Úřadu pro školy, mládež a odborné vzdělávání od roku 1993. Od září roku 2001 je ředitelem
a zástupcem spolkové pověřenkyně pro archivy státní bezpečnosti bývalé NDR (BStU).

His Holiness the Dalai Lama Representative based in Geneva, Switzerland
He has worked for the His Holiness for over 15 years in India, London and Geneva. A
graduate of Columbia University in New York. He was born in Nepal after his parents escaped
from Tibet in 1959 after China occupied Tibet.

Former National Commissioner for the Documents of the State Security Service
Graduated in theology and worked as an evangelic priest. Spokesperson of the opposition
movement "Neues Forum" and co-initiator of church and political resistance. Member of
parliament since 1990, and in the years 1990-2000, government Commissioner for the records of the national security
services of the former GDR Host of ARD talk-show „Joachim Gauck“ (2001). Chairman of association „Against
oblivion - for democracy“ since 2003. Awarded numerous honorary doctorates, medals and prizes.
Václav Havel
Bývalý disident, politický vězeň, bývalý president Československa a České republiky
Dramatik a spisovatel. Zakládající člen Charty 77, disident, politický vězeň. Zakládající člen
Občanského fóra, leadr demokratické oposice během „Sametové revoluce. Po roce 1989
prvním presidentem svobodného Československa, po rozdělení federace presidentem
samostatné České republiky. Jeho hlavním politickým tématem jsou lidská práva.

Internationally recognised specialist in terrorism, European security, Middle East and

Místopředseda Kanceláře veřejného vzdělávání při Ústavu paměti národa ve Varšavě.
Přednášející na Wroclavské universitě. Zabývá se především protikomunistickým odbojem
v poválečném Polsku, historií komunistického bezpečnostního aparátu a krisií
komunistického systému.
Historian
Deputy director of Public Education Office of Institute of National Remembrance (Warsaw)
and lecturer at Wrocław University. His main research areas are anticommunist resistance in
postwar Poland, history of communist security apparatus, crises of communist system.
Tunne Kelam
Poslanec Evropského parlamentu, vedoucí estonské delegace ve frakci ESL-ED
Působil jako archivář, známý přednášející a politický komentátor. Jeden ze zakladatelů
Strany Estonské národní nezávislosti - první registrované nekomunistické politické strany
v SSSR (1988). Roku 1992 zvolen předsedou Estonského Kongresu - alternativního
parlamentu, který konfrontoval tehdejší loutkový nejvyšší sovět. Členem nezávislého
estonského parlamentu od jeho založení.
Member of the European Parliament, Head of the Estonian delegation in EPP-ED
Worked as an archivist, being also a popular lecturer and political commentator. One of the
founders of Estonian National Independence Party (1988), the first registered noncommunist political party in the USSR. In 1992 elected chairman of the Congress of
Estonia, the alternative parliament that confronted the puppet Supreme Soviet. Member of
independent Estonia's parliament since the beginning.

the history of National Socialism and resistance. He is the author of the books Third Reich
(controversies about history) published in Darmstadt 2005 (co-author J. Scholtyseck), and Führer of the Province, 2nd
edition, Constance 1998.
Růžena Krásná
Politička, dlouhodobá politická vězeňkyně z 50. let
Po II. světové válce krajskou tajemnicí Národní socialistické strany v Liberci. 1949
zatčena, ve veřejném monstrprocesu s poslancem Emilem Weilandem odsouzena k trestu
smrti. Ten je jí později změněn na dvaadvacet let. 1960 propuštěna na amnestii. Po
„Sametové revoluci“ patřila k zakladatelům Konfederace politických vězňů. V
devadesátých letech byla předsedkyní Národně sociální strany - Československé strany
národně socialistické.
Politician, long-term political prisoner in the 1950s
After WW II, she was regional secretary of the National Socialist Party in Liberec. In
1949, she was arrested and in a public show trial with the deputy Emil Weiland,
sentenced to death. Later the sentence was changed to 22 years. In 1960, she was released on an amnesty. After the
„Velvet Revolution“, she was a founder of the Confederation of Political Prisoners. In the 1990s, she acted as the
Chairwoman of the National Social Party - the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party.
Prof. Vytautas Landsbergis
Bývalý president Litvy, poslanec Evropského parlamentu
Profesor dějin hudby na Litevské akademii hudby (1978-1990). Držitel čestné doktorátu
Sorbonské university. Spoluinicioval reformní hnutí "Sajudis" a stal se předsedou Sajudiské
rady při Seimu (1988). Zvolen zástupcem Litvy v Sovětském kongresu zástupců lidu (1989).
Zvolen presidentem Nejvyšší rady Litvy a hlavou státu (1990). Presidentem Seimu Litevské
republiky (1996-2000). Člen Evropského parlmaentu od r. 2004. Nositel mnoha ocenění, řádů
a medailí.
Former President of Lithuania, Member of the European Parliament
Professor of music history at the Lithuanian Academy of Music (1978 - 1990). Holder of an
Honorary Doctorate from the Sorbonne University. In 1988, co-initiated the Lithuanian
Reform Movement "Sajudis" and was Chairman of the Sajudis Seimas Council. In 1989, elected to represent Lithuania
in the USSR People's Deputies‘ Congress. In 1990 elected as President of the Supreme Council of Lithuania and Head
of State. 1996-2000 President of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. Member of the European Parliament since
2004. Awarded numerous distinctions, orders and medals.
Miroslav Lehký
Zástupce ředitele, Ústav pro studium totalitních režimů
V 60. letech studoval na katolické theologické fakultě v Bratislavě, studia nedokončil z
důvodů politických čistek. V 80. letech spoluorganisátor podzemní university v Bratislavě.
Signatář Charty 77. Po roce 1989 tajemníkem Československého (Českého) helsinského
výboru, byl pracovníkem Úřadu dokumentace a vyšetřování zločinů komunismu Policie
ČR. V roce 2003 se podílel na založení Ústavu paměti národa v Slovenské republice.
Deputy Director, Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes
In the 1960s, he studied at the faculty of catholic theology in Bratislava. He could not
finish his studies due to political reasons. In the 1980s, co-organizer of an underground
university in Bratislava. Charter 77 signatory. After 1989, secretary of the Czechoslovak (Czech) Helsinki Committee,
he was an employee of the Office for the documentation and investigation of communist crimes of the Czech police. In
2003, he was involved with the foundationof the Institute of the Nation’s Memory in Slovakia.
Göran Lindblad
Poslanec švédského parlamentu a vicepresident Parlamentního shromáždění Rady Evropy
Aktivní v komunální politice (1991-97) od roku 1997 poslancem Švédského parlamentu. Od
roku 2004 členem švédské parlamentní delegace při Parlamentním shromáždění Rady Evropy
(PACE). Od roku 2007, vedoucím švédské delegace a vicepresidentem PSRE. Zpravodaj
PSRE na téma zločiny totalitních komunistických režimů (2006). V lednu 2008 zvolen
předsedou výboru pro politické záležitosti PSRE.
Member of Swedish Parliament and Vice - President of Parliamentary Assembly of the
Council of Europe
Active in local government (1991-97). Member of the Swedish Parliament since 1997. Since
2004, member of the Swedish parliamentary delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the
Council of Europe. Since 2007, head of the Swedish delegation and Vice-President of the PACE. In 2006, Rapporteur
to PACE on the Crimes of Totalitarian Communist Regimes. In January 2008, elected Chair of the Political Affairs
committee of the PACE.
MVDr. Jiří Liška
Místopředseda Senátu PČR
Od r. 1990 působí v politice (mj. poslanec Sněmovny lidu Federálního shromáždění), člen
Občanské demokratické strany. 1994 - 2002 starosta města Jičína, od r. 1996 senátor, od r.
2004 dosud místopředseda Senátu. Zasazuje se především o důsledné vyrovnání se
s komunistickou minulostí, je mj. předkladatelem již schváleného zákona o Ústavu pro
studium totalitních režimů a návrhu zákona o protikomunistickém odboji.
Vice - Chairman of the Senate
Active in politics since 1990 (e.g., deputy in the People’s Chamber of the Federal Assembly),
member of the Civic Democratic Party. In 1994 – 2002, Mayor of the town of Jičín. since 1996, Senator, since 2004,
Vice-Chairman of the Senate. His main focus is on a consequent coming to terms with the communist past, he is e.g.
coauthor of the Act on the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes and of the proposed Act on the anticommunist
resistance.
Jüri Luik
Velvyslanec, stálý zástupce Estonské republiky při NATO
Působil jako velvyslanec Estonské republiky v USA, Kanadě a Mexiku. Novinář (1988-89) a
poté ředitel politického oddělení na ministersvtu zahraničí (1990-1992). V roce 1992 zvolen
poslancem Parlamentu. Ministr obrany (1993, 1999-2002), ministr zahraničních věcí (19941995). Distingovaný člen při nadaci Carnegie Endowment v USA (1995-1996). Velvyslanec
v zemích Beneluxu a při NATO (1996-1999). Vedoucí delegace přístupových jednáních do
NATO a speciální poradce na ministerstvu zahraničí (2002-2003).
Ambassador, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Estonia to NATO
Served as the Ambassador of Estonia to the United States, Canada and Mexico. Worked as a
journalist (1988-89). Director of the Political Department at the MFA (1990-1992). In 1992 elected Member of

Běloruského parlamentu (1990-1996), řídil veřejná vyšetřování Černobylské havárie.
Podílel se na vyhlášení nezávislosti Běloruska (1991). Opustil zemi v roce 1996, získal
politický asyl v USA. Člen PEN - centra.
Former Deputy and leader of Belarusian opposition, USA
Studied Fine Arts, worked as an archaeologist. In 1988, published his research of alleged
NKVD mass executions (250 000 people) in the forest of Kurapaty near Minsk. A leader of
the Belarusian national revival movement. Deputy of the Belarusian parliament (1990-1996), involved in conducting
public investigations of the Chernobyl accident and proclaiming the Declaration of independence of Belarus (1991).

Aktivní v boji za lidská práva v Rusku a bývalém SSSR. V roce 1977 dokončil knihu Trestná
medicína o zneužívání psychiatrie pro politické účely v SSSR. Kniha byla vydána v USA
v letech 1979 a 1980. Zakládající člen Pracovního výboru pro vyšetřování zneužívání
psychiatrie pro politické účely (1977). Odsouzen k pěti letům vyhnanství a ke 3,5 letům
vězení za publikační činnost. Zakladatel novin Express-Chronicle (1987). Od roku 2000
šéfredaktorem lidskoprávní zpravodajské agentury PRIMA- News.
Specialist on human rights issues and on the political transformation process in Russia
Active in the fight for human rights in Russia and former USSR. In 1977 he completed his
book Punitive Medicine about the use of psychiatry in the USSR for political purposes. The
book was published in the USA in 1979 and 1980. A founding member of the Working Committee for Investigation of
the Abuse of Psychiatry for Political Purposes (1977). Sentenced to 5 years in exile and to 3.5 years imprisonment for
his publication acitvities. Founder of the newspaper Express-Chronicle (1987). Since 2000, Editor-in-Chief of
PRIMA-News, a human rights news agency.

Spisovatel, scenárista, dramatik, překladatel, skaut. V roce 1950, těsně před maturitou,
vyloučen z politických důvodů z gymnasia. V lednu roku 1953 zatčen, obviněn z velezrady a
odsouzen na osm let. Ve vězení se setkal s katolickými spisovateli, kteří jej podnítili ke psaní.
Roku 1960 amnestován, po propuštění se živil manuální prací, pak jako technik. V 70. letech
externě spolupracuje s filmem. Po roce 1989 opět publikuje. Roku 1992 zvolen presidentem
Českého centra Mezinárodního PEN klubu.

Writer, screenwriter, playwright, translator, boy-scout. In 1950, shorty before graduation,
suspended from grammar school for political reasons. Arrested in January 1953 accused of
high treason and sentenced to eight years imprisonment. In prison, he met with catholic
writers who motivated him to write. Amnestied in 1960, earned his living by manual labour,
later on as a technician. In the 1970s, freelance film collaborator. After 1989, resumes publishing. In 1992, elected
president of the Czech Centre of the International PEN club.

Studovala umění na Pařížské Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts, absolventka
Sorbonny. Od roku 1969 žije v kanadské Ottawě, kde pracuje pro vládu a angažuje se
v běloruských občanských, vědeckých a uměleckých aktivitách. Založila a v letech 19891997 předsedala Kanadskému podpůrnému fondu pro oběti Černobylu v Bělorusku. Roku
1997 byla zvolena presidentkou Rady Běloruské demokratické republiky v exilu.

vzniku slovenského Ústavu pamäti národa odchází do Bratislavy. V prosinci 2007 se stal
prvním ředitelem Ústavu pro studium totalitních režimů (ČR), který se věnuje zkoumání éry
totalitních režimů v Československu, komunismu a nacismu.

Jan Urban
Absolvent FF UK v oboru filosofie a historie. Pracoval mj. v první redakci samizdatových
Lidových novin. Je nositelem dvou cen (v USA a Salvadoru) za obranu lidských práv. Byl
jedním ze zakladatelů Nadace Lidových novin a organizátorem humanitární akce SOS
Sarajevo. Od roku 1993 střídavě žije v Praze a v Sarajevu.

editorial board of the samizdat Lidové noviny. Received two distinctions (USA and Salvador)
for the defense of human rights. One of the founders of the Lidové noviny foundation,

The origin of the Saint Wenceslas hymn probably dates back to the 12th century. Originally, it had three
verses of five lines each ending in a chorus “Kyrie eleison“. The content was a simple prayer to Saint
Wenceslas, prince and patron of the Czech lands, to plead with God for his nation and to ensure its salvation.
Kořeny Svatováclavského chorálu sahají patrně až do 12. století. Původně měla tři pětiřádkové sloky
ukončených refrénem „Kyrie eleison“. Obsahem byla prostá modlitba ke sv. Václavu, vévodovi a patronovi
české země, aby se přimluvil za svůj národ u Boha a zajistil mu spasení.
Stará tradice kladla dobu vzniku do 14. století. Její autorství bylo připisováno pražskému arcibiskupovi Arnoštu
z Pardubic. Text písně se ale vyvíjel postupně – např. strofická stavba, jazyková stránka, zvlněná melodie a
harmonisace ukazují jasně na 13. století. Úpěnlivá prosba „utěš smutné – zažeň vše zlé“ svědčí o pohnuté době,
kterou byla pravděpodobně léta braniborské správy (1278–1283). Někdy na rozhraní 14. a 15. století přibyly dvě
nové strofy: „Ty jsi dědic české země“ a „Maria, matko žádoucí“ . V 15. století se uvádějí opět nové strofy, mezi
nimi sloka, obsahující invokaci k ostatním českým světcům. Ty ovšem později ze standardního textu vypadly.
Chorál, původně ve staročeštině, dostal svojí finální podobu, užívanou dodnes zřejmě v 18.–19. století. Přečkal
staletí. Slavný český básník, symbolista Otokar Březina litoval, že se „vznešená svatováclavská hymna nestala
státní hymnou osvobozeného národa“ (1918).
EXHIBITIONS
Post Bellum – non-governmental organisation. its main goal is to create an archive of
authentic testimonies of Czech (Czechoslovak) war veterans of the II. foreign resistance.
(project „Voices of heroes“). Most of these heroes became vicitms of communist terror in the
1950s. An exhibiton in the historical smaller hall of the Valdštejnský palace is part of the
project „Ones among us…“
Institue for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes (ÚSTR) – founded by an Act of 2007. It
documents Nazi and communist crimes. It retrieves and provides public access to
documents testifying about the period of communist totalitarian power. It provides the results
of its work to the public. It cooperates with scientific, cultural, educational and other
institutions at home and abroad. ÚSTR is the co-author of an exhibition in the historical
smaller hall of the Valdštejnský palace of the Valdštejnský palace („Ones among us…“)
INSTALLATIONS
People in need – humanitarian organization. It suppots dissidents, journalists and human
rights advocates. It organizes the annual film festival on the topic of human rights „One
world“. It systematically documents and provides public access to the fates of victims of
communist terror of the 1950s (project “Stories of injustice“). The installation of figures
representing victims of communism in the courtyard of the Senate is a fraction of a larger
ensemble.
FILM SCREENINGS
The Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Czech Television
ve spolupráci s Českou televisí and radio and a number of non-governmental veteran
organizations has prepared a project called “Fighters against totalitarianism seen through
children’s eyes“. The task for primary and secondary shoolchildren was to prepare a report
or a film story on the fates of war veterans, political prisoners and inmates of communist
labor camps. The resulting works of the competition will be screened in the Zaháňský hall of
the Senate.
FAMU (The Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague)– The
Academy of Performing Arts (it has three faculties - Theatre, Film and Music) was the most
radical university in Prague and the initiator of the student occupation strike in November
1989. On June 4 and 5 there is a possibility to view several documentary (and one acted)
films on the topic of communism. (The programme is on a separate page.)
MUSIC
The Choir of the Christian Doppler Grammar school, Prague, sings the Saint Wenceslas
hymn at the end of each conference day. Choirmaster is Karel Loula, graduate of the Faculty
of Pedagogy, Charles University (musical education). He is a teacher, organist, church music
composer (Te Deum, Passion etc.) He also acts as choirmaster of the church choir at St.
Spiritus in Prague.
Prague Spring – International Music festival. An annual music festival. A festival of
outstanding world artists, symphonic orchestras, chamber ensembles. Founded in 1946. The
concert on the last day of the conference is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the
Czechoslovak radio and to the victims of Nazism and communism. (Programme: Otakar

Od konce čtyřicátých let bylo ve věznici v Uherském Hradišti komunisty vězněno a mučeno tisíce politických vězňů.
Skupina vyšetřovatelů vedená Aloisem Grebeníčkem, Vladimírem Zavadilíkem a Ludvíkem Hlavačkou patřila k nejkrutějším
v zemi. Kromě bití a různých forem psychického týrání začali Grebeníček a jeho "kolegové" používat při výsleších
elektrické šoky. Dodnes nebyl nikdo z trojice brutálních vyšetřovatelů odsouzen

"Svůj trest nesu odevzdaně. Před soudem svého svědomí jsem obstála," napsala Milada Horáková v posledním dopise,
který dokončila hodinu a půl před popravou. Ta následovala po komunisty vykonstruovaném procesu. A to i přes dopisy z
celého světa žádající milost (mimo jiné od Alberta Einsteina), které prezident Gottwald denně dostával. Kdo byla Milada
Horáková? Tuto otázku se pokusili zodpovědět tvůrci filmu. Pátrali přitom v archivech a ve vzpomínkách pamětníků,
včetně dcery a sestry Milady Horákové.

kulturu. Navíc uvažuje velmi pozitivně, odmítá začarovaný kruh nenávisti a pomsty přenášený z rodičů na děti. Její zážitky
i projev jsou tak silné, až mi bylo líto přidávat do filmu archivní záběry," říká režisérka Helena Třeštíková.

Komunistický režim se ihned po svém nástupu k moci snažil oslabit pozici katolické církve. Církev si ale právo na víru
uhájila i za nejkrutějších podmínek. Ze zápasu s komunisty vyšla naopak vnitřně posílena. Ve filmu Olgy Sommerové se
setkáme s křesťanskými duchovními Václavem Vaškem, Annou Magdalénou Schwarzovou, ThDr. Otou Mádrem a
arcibiskupem Karlem Otčenáškem, kteří perzekuce komunistů vůči katolické církvi zažili na vlastní kůži. I přes dlouholeté
věznění a ponižování neztratili nic ze svého křesťanského postoje, podle nějž je nutno milovat své nepřátele a modlit se,
aby jim Bůh odpustil jejich hříchy.

postupně zabaven veškerý majetek a mnoho jich bylo uvězněno. Dokument Olgy Sommerové odhaluje výpověďmi čtyř
perzekuovaných sedláků zločinnost komunistického režimu a dospívá ke zjištění, že národ, který ničí selské rody, ztrácí
svou tradici.

Dokumentární snímek přibližuje na čtyřech osudech brutální zacházení komunistického režimu s ženami označenými za
třídní nepřátele. Film začíná příběhem Edy Ottové, která byla v roce 1951 odsouzena na deset let vězení. Dagmar Skálová
byla za organizování pokojné demonstrace mladých skautů odsouzena dokonce na doživotí, ve vězení nakonec strávila
šestnáct let. Třetí hrdince filmu, Růženě Krásné, během výslechů vyšetřovatelé vyrazili zuby, pálili ji cigaretou a jinak
mučili. Poslední příběh vypráví Ludmila Šeflová, která byla za údajnou velezradu a protistátní činnost odsouzena na deset
let.

jako první ze třech (zbývající Děti rodičů a Děti cest) a poprvé vyšel v rozsáhlé ukázce ve Svědectví v roce
1984. Kniha (vydaná nejdříve v roce 1985 v Kolíně nad Rýnem a až po roce 1989 v České republice),
vzbudila velkou polemiku, jejíž součástí byl též „konflikt tří filozofů“ (Erazim Kohák, Ivan Jirous, Ivan
Sviták), což jí ovšem nijak neubralo na čtenářském zájmu (prodalo se zatím 120 000 výtisků). Filmová
adaptace vznikla za zcela jiných podmínek než předloha, avšak je vcelku přesným obrazem doby tuhé
normalizace na přelomu sedmdesátých a osmdesátých let. Líčí úděl party „mániček“ z průmyslového
severočeského města, jejichž touha po svobodném životě se pohříchu realizuje jen jako nekonečná řada
hospodských pitek, mejdanů a souloží. Neschází samozřejmě politický kontext, prezentovaný například
stálou policejní perzekucí a šikanou nebo postavou bývalého pilota RAF, bezdomovce Lesního muže.
Protagonistou je mladík Olin, vracející se z psychiatrického léčení po fingovaném pokusu o sebevraždu
kvůli vojně. Ten je také organizátorem různých akcí a kromě permanentního opilství prožívá i existenciální
starosti. Po četných peripetiích prchá s přáteli Otou a Olinou před policií. Jako jediný z nich přežije a uteče
do Francie (podobně jako autor knihy). – Snímek byl natočen za minimum finančních prostředků v reálech
na 16mm inverzní černobílý materiál s neherci či málo známými herci. Na jeho vzniku se kromě předních
profesionálů podíleli i začátečníci a studenti filmových škol. Vyniká syrovostí a autentičností, k níž přispívá
i originální způsob distribuce. Je uváděn v rockových či jiných klubech a hospodách, případně na
soukromých oslavách. Lze si ho objednat včetně původních 16mm promítaček a promítačů a lze si k němu
domluvit i vystoupení stejnojmenné underpunkové kapely (www.filmabudehur.cz). Zážitek z „nekvalitní“
projekce se tak stává součástí filmového díla, jež by jinak patrně ztratilo mnohé ze své atmosféry. Místy
ovšem vadí, že hercům není rozumět. Kromě tří „šestnáctkových“ kopií jsou k dispozici i tři „pětatřicítky“;
ty do letních kin distribuuje CinemArt. – Snímek byl s velkým ohlasem uveden v alternativní sekci Forum
na MFF v Berlíně 2007. V souvislosti s ním vyšlo šesté vydání knihy (nakl. Maťa, Praha 2007), obsahující i
