Name the pictures correctly. ...................................... ............................... ........................ ........................................ ........................................... Also a cloven hoof and hide are very useful, a glue was manufactured from them. Nowadays products made of sheep are frequently used. Sheep`s wool is besides other things a source of lanolin which is added to salves, detergents, shoe`s polishes and it is a perfect preparaton for protection against water. http://ovce-domaci.navajo.cz/, http://cs.wikipedia.org/ Projekt: Podpora EVVO na základních školách v Pacovì, Registraèní èíslo projektu: CZ.1.07/1.1.01/02.0066 Tento projekt je spolufinacován Evropským sociální fondem a státním rozpoètem Èeské republiky. They didn`t have any fields and cows, so they made their living by spinning. Although Liduska was a very nice and well-mannered girl she had a mistake that she was extremely lazy. Everytime she should sit down to spin she started to cry and when a mother made her do it, her yarn was really bad. However, once her mother got tired of it, she got angry and slapped her on the head. Liduska started to cry very loudly and it was resounded outside far away. Èj At the moment a queen passed by ..... You can finish reading of the fairy-tale. In these days we manufacture wool, falx and cotton in huge factories but it was different in the past. Before a material got to a woman spinner`s hands and became a cap, a sweater or a blanket it has to be manufactured traditionally. Aj Rumpl krampl Try to match names spindle, krample, and scissors for sheep`s wool cutting to the pictures. ................................. .................................. ................................. A spindle called vretanko, vretynko, vreteno.....there are a lot of names for this little thing. It was used for a long time for a wool and flax spinning and it will help you especially when you don`t want to devote to spinning intensively and only little yarn will be enough for you. Spinning is naturally slower than on a loom and especially for a beginner is a speed better to say a slowness of a spindle welcome. In past times housewives spinned wool during walking and therefore they wore a spindle everywhere with them. Krample kramplovacka, krampol is a thing used for combing flocks step by step to straighten naturally wavy wool. Krample is such a comb. For combing we use a brush, too. Scissors for wool It was used for sheep cutting and for a textile production. In the same shape the “shepherd`s” or “spring” scissors are used from the Iron Age till now. They are substituted gradually by electrical machines. http://cea.livinghistory.cz/zivotvm/remesla/textil/textilie/ SPINNING, WEAVING AND FELTING Try to comb wool manually as our ancestors made it. As soon as wool is combed it can be felted or weaved on a loom. Try to felt your own products or weave cloth on a hand loom.
